- The web page request which referred you to our site (HTTP_REFERRER);
- Your browser type (USER_AGENT);
- The time and date you visited our site;
- The pages you visited on our network sites (this is tracked by your Internet Protocol address during the duration of your visit which is stored only whilst compiling the statistics and cannot be used to identify you personally.)
None of these details are connected to any details you choose to submit and cannot be used to identify you personally, they enable us to improve the ease of use and operation of our websites.

We are very vigilant in ensuring the safety of any information we receive either on the web, or at our office. We protect against viruses, hacking and any illegitimate use of information we hold. (Hints at technical details are provided, you may click here to request more in depth information.)
- Any data transferred, either across the internet between premises or within our premises, is tunnelled through an encrypted connection of at least the strength of the industry standard Secure Socket Layer (we also make some use of the Secure Shell protocol v2 (SSH2) and the Layer 2 Tunnelling Protocol L2TP.)
- We do not use insecure protocols - means of communicating information where information is transmitted without being encoded (such as ftp) - for any personal details you supply us with.
- Email is not strictly secure as it is not encoded and could be intercepted - we offer online forms for submitting personal details using the secure socket layer which ensures your privacy; click here for a secure email form.
- Our webserver and office computers are updated weekly with the latest available security patches to ensure our systems are well defended.
- Our webserver, internet connected computers and even internal servers have intelligent shields, known as firewalls, to protect against unauthorised access. (Our firewalls also block suspicious activity from within the office to prevent any spy programs (such as a trojan horse virus) from sending out information.)
- Automatic alerts are triggered if suspicious activity is noticed so the technical department can respond to any threat as it happens.
- All emails, discs and cds are scanned for viruses on entry to the office and outgoing emails are scanned. The virus protection is updated daily as new types of virus are identified.
- Access to information is limited by passwords (using KERBEROS) within our premises on a need to know basis.

P3P
The World Wide Web Consortium has recommended The Platform for Privacy Preferences 1.0 (P3P1.0) Specification as a standard for communicating a website's use of information that is gathered on the internet.
This is a way for a website indicate to a P3P enabled browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla and Opera exactly what use it makes of information it receives, such as whether it will keep any information you submit on a mailing list or even passes your details on to 3rd parties.
We do not pass any details onto any third party not involved in a service you have agreed we should perform and you can opt out of any future contact from us on all of our online forms. We are registered with the Data Protection Registrar and will hold no details about you if you opt out, other than those required by United Kingdom Law (in particular those governing Financial Services) if you have taken up one of our services.
The Platform for Privacy Preferences is a standard intended that our webserver should communicate the technical aspects of our use of information and allow automatic opt out in a privacy enabled browser depending on your privacy preference.
This standard currently has no absolute non-commercial regulatory authority, however as an automatic communication of our commitment to fair online trading and communication of our intended use of information, protection of information and complaints and dispute resolution service we intend to support it.
We intend to implement a compact privacy policy by August 2005 and have a full P3P policy by October 2005.
